How easy is it to change careers - A poem by Slick Pivot

You get what you focus on.

Create a vision.

Remember that perfection is limiting.

Procrastination is not your friend.

Start by taking the first step.

Always act with the end in mind.

Start living the dream now.

Give yourself continuous feedback.

Listen to it.

Test and learn, test and learn.

No failure, only feedback.

Create a plan.

Timeline the steps.

Celebrate success. Especially the tiny things.

Anchor that feeling.

If you feel nervous that’s good. Turn that nervous feeling into excitement. You never know what will happen.

Again, take the first step!

Then take one step at a time.

Follow your gut.

Be true to this.

Look for opportunities everywhere you go.

Act on them.

Tell everyone you know about your vision. It works.

Practice your new skills whenever you can.

Believe that money will come.

Focus on making your customers/family/important stakeholders happy. You will feel awesome when you are. So will they.

Check where you are at.

And listen to what you say to yourself. It matters.

Let your unconscious mind guide you.

Smile.

Then dance.
